General Assembly EAYO and European Orchestra Festival 2009* !

21/24 May 2009

At the beautiful location Congreshotel Mooi Rivier in Dalfsen/NL

Festival:

All participants are located at the wonderful location Mooi Rivier in Dalfsen, appr. 150 km East of Amsterdam, 10 km East of Zwolle.

 

Main activity Music/Concerts!

 

Special: all participants are mixed into appr. 8 workshops.

Those workshops will be conducted by the conductors of the participating orchestras, but also by professionals invited for this important ejobf.

Workshops are: Friday morning and afternoon + Saturday morning.

The results will be performed at the final concert Sunday 24 May, 11 am

Details of repertoire for these workshops will be given asap.

Composer in residence will be Jacob ter Veldhuis!

Concerts: every participating orchestra can present itself at at least one different concert location, in e.g. churches and theatres (www.hoftheater.nl , www.voorveghter.nl etc.) on Friday- and/or Saturday evening.

At these concerts 3 orchestrafs will be combined; concert program per orchestra will be max 30 minutes; mentioned at the application form as eyour concertf.

 

Percussion: the regular instruments will be present at each location.

 

Participation fee for full board (21/5 diner until 24/5 lunch) is € 200 pp.

This is the subsidized price for youth under 25 in 4- and 6- bed rooms.

 

* This traditional festival of the European Association of Amateur Orchestras is held every 3rd year. EAAO and EAYO will decide at their General Assemblies (Thursday 21/5/09)  to have a combined future. You should be there and use the facilities to make music and meet our friends and partners!
